Wacky, witty and delightful!

This was a totally enjoyable slice of the weird and wacky :). An outrageous idea it may seem, but the writing is smooth and the world-building makes it all seem plausible. Clint was very sweet and I loved the attraction of opposites between him and Xavier. The bold and imaginative idea of the head-snatching was ghoulish and GREAT, it's what attracted me into the story in the first place *g*. This story has encouraged me to find more of this author's work in this world.

The premise of someone cutting off Zombie heads to make "art - a living sculpture " appealed to me on a level that I don't really want to examine, so I won't!
Clint first meets Xavier in a morgue, trying to chop off Zombie heads - Yes, you read that correctly. Now our young Clint is a trusting and helpful sort of guy - which is proved when he believes the cock and bull story of why Xavier is there severing heads and then ends up helping him! but then again, it could be the fact that Clint has taken a shine to the mysterious and flamboyant Xavier and that's the real reason why he's helping him?
The storyline then kinda lost me, Xavier had his own political agenda, obviously involving Zombie heads, but we never found out if he succeeded? Odd book, but quirky. So wished it was longer, so only 3* from me.
