The wisdom of the past can guide our footsteps in the future

Slow down Mr. Kelly, nobody is talking about bringing back archaic practices, but rather a book that can shed light on a number of subjects confronting this Nation. I for one am intrigued when anyone balks at what a book may contain, this heightens my curiosity and interest in reading this book. What could the ACLU be wanting to supress? isn't this operating contrary to their very own charter? I want to know what the founding fathers intended and thought, what worked, and what didn't, we have the benefit of retrospect. In my opinion all sides of an issue need to be exposed to those with enough brains to study them, and make their own decisions... so I am for bringing this book by Benjamin Morris to publication, AND exploration

Be afraid ACLU

I'm looking forward to reading this book, Gary Demar said,"I was debating an ACLU attorney at Christmas on an NPR station. I pulled out a Xerox copy of The Christian Life and Character of the Civil Institutions of the United States and said to her: "Until you answer this book, the ACLU can't make a case against America's Christian founding." She was shocked when she saw it. She asked where I had gotten it. The only thing that gave her relief was the fact that the book was not in print. But now it is.
"Be afraid ACLU. Be very afraid. Morris packs The Christian Life and Character with page after page of original source material making the case that America was founded as a Christian nation. The evidence is unanswerable and irrefutable. This 1000-page book will astound you and send enemies of Christianity into shock. Keep in mind that it was published in 1864 and has been out of print for more than a century. It has been newly typeset using a very readable font and added subheads. The Christian Life and Character of the Civil Institutions of the United States
This book was written to be an encyclopedia of knowledge about America's Christian heritage. It was meant to provide future generations full evidence of the Divine upbringing of our Christian Republic.
Christian Life and Character is easy to read like an encyclopedia. It is full of fascinating historic stories, documents, testimonies, about the facts of the colonization, statesmen, women, ministers, and Civil Government of the USA.
With these facts people can not make a case against America's Christian founding.
This book was originally published in 1864, 146 years ago. It has been out of print for over 100 years.
Organizations like the ACLU, and Americans United for Separation of Church and State have done their best to push this book back into the dusty shelves of university libraries because they want our Christian history forgotten.
I appreciate the ministry of American Vision who has brought back into print many great books like this. This book is already in it's ninth printing (as of 10/2010)!
Our generation is not taught the truth of history in public schools, and this book corrects that travesty. This book should be the cornerstone of every library.
Morris was a historian (1810-1867), and minister. For over 10 years Morris worked on this project out of concern for the loss of Christian heritage in 1864!! He wanted to preserve a testimony for all generations to keep our Christian republic alive and well. May it be so.
