Ugh...No Really...Ick

After reading this book I felt like I needed a shower and not for a good reason. For some reason the writer decided to heavily delve into this whole alpha/submissive thing. And the way to show this apparently was to detail rough sex that was sometimes so violent it bordered more on rape than a steamy love scene. But hey it couldn't really be rape because he was alpha and she HAD to submit to him...and like it. By the end of the book I was so disgusted with both characters. I hated his attitude of "hey I'm alpha so I'll do whatever I want to you and you will submit to me because you don't have a choice and you'll get used to it". And I hated her for allowing it and more so for accepting it. In fact the couple of times she does show some independence or challenge his authority we are forced to listen to her beg for forgiveness...I will pass on any more books from this author.

A must read for people who enjoy shifters!

A woman who was attacked at a young age by a lynx on her fathers animal refuge kept a secret that she feared would come out. A man who found his mate and vowed to protect her. Hunters that weren't hunting for your average wild life. A story of loss, strength and love! This book has everything you can think a great shifter story would have. I hope it never ends!

It was a fast read. It was fun and light. If you are looking for a book with no real need to think, you just float through it, this will do the trick. I liked it okay, and would probably read it again.
